A new app has raised more than $2 million to help provide free food for the National Parks Service (NPS).
The app, Volunteer Emt, allows users to register their own volunteer cafe in the National parks, and then the app will send a team of volunteers to pick up food from the cafe, and deliver it to a designated table.
The app has been downloaded over 4 million times.
In addition to the food, volunteers will also deliver water and hygiene supplies to the tables.
It has raised $2.1 million in donations.
The NPS says that the app is “the fastest growing volunteer app in the U.S. to date,” with over 8,000 registered users.
The National Park Foundation also announced that it has raised over $1.6 million in new grants for its National Parks Program.
